WEBneo in Dresden's ‘Fettschmelze’
The Ostra site in Dresden was once home to Europe's largest slaughterhouse. The building complex of the municipal livestock and slaughterhouse, designed by Dresden's renowned architect Hans Erlwein, has been gradually renovated since 1999 and converted for new uses, including as a trade fair and event venue. The listed building of the ‘Alte Fettschmelze’ (old fat rendering plant) was awakened from its slumber in 2020 and converted into a modern office building, which now houses our online agency Webneo, among others.
The understated office design with white furniture, few colour accents and green plants allows the historic building fabric to come into its own. The zoned workstations are equipped with Eco N2 and Avaro Q motorised desks and mobile pedestals from REISS. The corridor is separated by sliding door cabinets with plant stands. Adjacent to the open-plan office is a large meeting room with a REISS Eco N2 meeting table with four double columns. The individual offices offer plenty of storage space for important documents with REISS cabinets and shelves. A project in which architecture and furnishings form a perfect symbiosis.
