This year, REISS Büromöbel GmbH is only sending greetings with a small Christmas surprise to its customers and partners. No gifts were sent in favour of the charity organisation HausLeben Kurstadtregion e. V. HausLeben offers people diagnosed with cancer and their family members expert advice and help to help themselves, as well as courses where they can relax with other people affected by cancer and share happy moments.

“The HausLeben team contributes in an incredibly important way to supporting those affected by cancer here in the Elbe-Elster region. People with cancer and their families can find help and advice locally and don’t have to travel long distances. We have been supporting HausLeben for several years now and have decided to forego a Christmas campaign this year in favour of donating a larger sum. This gives the organisation a little more planning security for next year and of course also helps to cover the significantly increased running costs,” says Andreas Käs, one of the two Managing Directors of REISS Büromöbel GmbH.

In the short term, the association will also use the money to finance the products on offer at its stand at the Christmas market in Bad Liebenwerda, which takes place from 15-16 December 2023. HausLeben is represented there every year, presenting itself and selling lovingly designed handicrafts and mistletoe branches as well as sausages and mulled wine from the region. The proceeds are then channelled back into the association’s work. In addition to the various courses offered in social gatherings and self-help groups, this also includes specialist lectures by physicians and holistic health counselling, which offer those affected valuable support and tips.
